Summers County Adult Education

The program features:

  • One-to-one instruction
  • WV High School Equivalency Diploma test preparation
  • Adult interest-level textbooks
  • Supportive services for entry into higher education
  • Trained reading & math instructors
  • Tutoring in English as a Second Language
  • Group evening classes
  • Job skills and career exploration

 

 Transition to Postsecondary

This program supports residents in their efforts to further their education either through college or vocational training. The staff helps students identify appropriate programs, assists them with the application process, and assists in locating, applying for, and securing financial assistance. For those enrolled in post-secondary classes, the program offers tutoring and helps students locate resources within the educational institution. 

Hours of class:

Evening Classes: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays 4pm to 8pm

Daytime Classes: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, 11am to 2pm

One-to-one instruction available by appointment.
